Grasso wins 3rd Place in Rotary Youth Leadership Awards
April 23, 2024
On Friday, April 19 2024, Alan Hurst of Rotary District 7980 visited Grasso to present a check for our RYLA attendees third place project. Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is an intensive leadership experience organized by Rotary clubs and districts where Interactors develop skills as leaders while having fun and making connections. One of the key components is a project where students build communication and problem-solving skills. Alexander Santiago, Olivia Carey, and Vera Bonville proposed a project to, “educate and protect children from the dangers of choking or drowning, and to train parents, siblings, aunts, uncles and anyone concerned to be as safe as possible for all children.” Congratulations and best of luck implementing your project!
Included in the pictures are Alexander Santiago, Madeline Whittle (Fall RYLA attendee and Spring RYLA Facilitator), Olivia Carey, Vera Bonville, and Principal Patricia Feeney.
