Bill of Rights Event

On March 2, the sophomore class attended a presentation on the Bill of Rights as an enrichment activity for the Civics curriculum.  
 
Guest speakers included Grasso School Resource Officer, State of Connecticut Trooper Rashaad Carter;  attorney and State Representative Christine Conley; Lieutenant Douglas Sauve, attorney and faculty at the State Police Academy; Sergeant Kyle Gorra, Eastern District Major Crime Squad; Task Force Officer O’Keefe, City of Norwich Police Department; and Task Force Officer Andrew Collins, Town of Groton Police Department.  
 
Students in Ms. Granatosky’s Civics classes submitted questions for the guest speakers.  The forum included a pass the mic format where the speakers responded to the questions and shared their professional experiences. 
 
Grasso thanks our guests for their time and for sharing their knowledge with our sophomores!
