MDET Tours Advanced Wire Products

October is Manufacturing Month and ACME Wire Products in Mystic Connecticut, hosted a group tour for Grasso Tech Mechanical Design & Engineering Technology students on October 19th.
Eleven MDET juniors toured ACME Wire Products to learn about manufacturing processes and products. The opportunity to witness multiple processes that are required to fabricate facemask for lacrosse helmets, washing baskets, cable trays and fiber optic trays helped increased each student’s understanding and knowledge of the design and engineering field.
